Halstead is a renowned photojournalist and filmmaker whose career, during the 1960s-70s, spanned the battlefields of Vietnam to the west wing of the White House. He holds the record for the largest number of TIME magazine covers by a single photographer. Today, Halstead is editor and publisher of the Digital Journalist and a Senior Fellow in Photojournalism at The Center For American History at the University of Texas, Austin.
